Capter 1... Captured
Chapter 1 Captured...
It was a relatively foggy day in the small community of Brennington, Chicago as two lone children played on a small set of swings in a rusty playground. The both of them appeared to be no more than thirteen. The taller one of the girls had long chestnut brown hair down to her chest and had a calm aura about her, this obviously indicating she was the older one of the two. The smaller girl had short auburn hair and as her sister would say, it matched her personality perfectly.
The smaller girl grinned "Katrina, can we stay just a bit longer?" Katrina sighed knowing that her sister almost never took no for an answer. "Please?" "Sam, mom and dad are expecting us to be home in at least twenty minutes." Sam pouted and attempted to make a puppy dog face, "Fine, you go ahead, I'll meet you at the door." Katrina smiled and nodded "be home quickly okay?" Sam nodded at her sister and continued to swing as her sister walked towards the apartment building they called home.
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
